Hi

I'm Dr. Yitzchak Yadegari, a scientific illustrator with a comprehensive background in the fields of research, especially biology and medicine.

I hold a doctorate degree in dentistry (DMD) from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which also makes me a dentist :)

I pursued illustration studies at the Israel Museum and under the guidance of artist Eli Deitch, a Bezalel graduate.

Over the years, I have accumulated valuable experience in both private and public markets, and I am honored to have won several illustration competitions.

The fusion of advanced medical academic studies, clinical knowledge, and extensive experience in illustration and graphic design naturally gave rise to the establishment of HandMed.

HandMed, conceived during my dentistry studies, aims to assist researchers in enhancing the visual appeal of their work, providing it with a professional and striking appearance.

All work is executed using top-notch ADOBE software, including Photoshop and Illustrator.

Numerous figures, abstracts, presentations, logos, websites, and other elements have undergone enhancement, significantly elevating the impact of researchers and their studies.

What is the typical course of working with you?

After all the materials are consolidated by the researcher, we conduct a comprehensive characterization meeting via Zoom, in which we consolidate the structure of the work. You will then receive a quote based on what was agreed upon in the meeting. From there the communication is according to the progress of the work, in the way that is most convenient for you - WhatsApp or email, until the desired result is reached
How much does it cost?

Prices vary and depend on the complexity of the work. If you are interested in a price quote, you are welcome to contact us and arrange a characterization meeting. A quote will be given after the meeting.
Is it possible to pay through a university budget?

Yes :) We work in collaboration with several universities and bodies such as the Hebrew University, the Technion, Bar Ilan University and more. Not sure HandMed is a provider of your institution? Contact us and we'll see how we can work together.
How long does an average job take?

It's hard to say. The time takes to complete a job varies and depends on the details of the job and the client's response time. On average a Medium-sized illustration will take about a week to work, while building a website takes on average about a month.
How should the credit be written in the publication?

Do you accept projects within short deadlines?

The answer of course depends on the complexity of the work and the existing load in the studio at the time. In any case, there is an additional charge for express projects with a short deadline: For a deadline of up to a week there is an additional 15% of the price. For a deadline of 24 hours there is an additional 30% of the price. The time is counted from the receipt of all the necessary materials to finish the work. Therefore, it is highly recommended to make contact and deliver the necessary materials for the work at least two weeks in advance. This way we can work on the job in peace and it will also cost you less :)
What softwares do you work with?

We use the best softwares of Adobe, primarily Illustrator and Photoshop. The presentations are made in Microsoft Office PowerPoint.
